If you are a doctor and are specialising in radiology, the course will help you to understand and become familiar with radiological techniques, image interpretation and the role of radiology in everyday clinical practice. It offers a structure for such training that parallels the FRCR (UK) and European Society of Radiology (ESR) syllabus. The programme is endorsed by the Postgraduate Co-ordinators at Mater Dei Hospital (MDH) and by the Malta Association of Radiologists and Nuclear Physicians (MARNMP).

The objective of this course is to train you in:

  • Interpretation of radiographs and fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Performance and interpretation of ultrasound examinations.
  • Interpretation of basic CT and MRI examinations.
  • Understanding of diffusion weighted Imaging (DWI) and its applications, as well as advanced MRI techniques.
  • Understanding the imaging pathways followed in clinical radiology.
  • reporting of straightforward cases and a provisional report for more complex findings.
